Getting your day started with a powerful morning routine
I meet rockstar agents all the time who want to know how to maximize their time and their productivity…
They are looking for a solution, but don’t know where to start!
There is ONE THING you can do every day to get more done, be more present, and even be happier and most agents don’t even do it!
It is all about your morning routine!
How you start your day is one of the most crucial things you can do to ensure your success!
Your actions set the intention for the day.
Like we’ve been talking about, routine is a sign of an ambitious individual!
Where to Start Your Morning Routine
Not sure where to start?
Worried you might have to get up at the crack of dawn to do a morning routine?
Don’t worry, you don’t have to figure it all out at once!
Getting up even 15 minutes earlier is a great place to start so that you can get your morning routine in place.
What is the SAVERS Routine?
The "SAVERS" morning routine is a concept popularized by the book "Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod. It stands for Silence (meditation or prayer), Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing (writing/journaling). This routine is designed to kickstart a productive and positive day by incorporating these six activities into one's morning routine.
More About the Miracle Morning
I love the model Miracle Morning outlines for a morning routine with the acronym S.A.V.E.R.S.
If you don’t have a routine in place yet, or are looking for ways to improve your current routine, this is a great resource!
- Silence – Have some quiet time for meditation, prayer, or simply calming the mind.
- Affirmations – Say things like “I’m a lean, mean, appointment setting machine!”
- Visualization – Visualize success in your goals for the day and your long-term goals too.
- Exercise – Stretching, going to the gym, running, etc.
- Reading – Spend 5-10 minutes reading a good book that will encourage you and help you grow.
- Scribing – Get a journal and write down the things you are grateful for, a few wins you’ve achieved, and your intentions for the day.
My Morning Routine
I follow many of these same practices, and my morning routine typically looks like this:
Deep Breaths
I start my morning routine with some deep breaths.
These are the kind of breaths that are slow, focused, and fill your chest as your lungs expand.
These breaths help me calm my mind, and push away all the distractions that we all face.
Gratitude
Keeping those deep breaths going, I focus on gratitude.
I mentally go through about ten things that I’m thankful for like my family, my team, and even my dogs!
Visualization
I continue breathing deeply and visualize my day.
I visualize the top three goals I have for the day, and being successful in all of them.
I also visualize health and vitality in my body.
Exercise
You and I both know how important it is to get your body moving!
Depending on my travel schedule my goal is to be at the gym several times per week.
When you feel good, you perform good!

Lastly, I spend some time reading a good book; you can check out some of my favorites here.
I also listen to podcasts (like Tim Ferriss and Lewis Howse), watch YouTube videos (Evan Carmichael’s channel is great) and watch TED talks (check out Mindset from Carol Dweck)

You don’t have follow this plan exactly, but the important part is that you are being intentional with your mornings and setting the tone for your day.
